Purpose & Responsibilities
Operating under the authority of an 11-person Board of Directors, the Aberdeen Downtown Association/Business Improvement District (ADA/BID) is the chief economic development agency for Downtown Aberdeen, focusing on a 30-block core area. The purpose and goal of the ADA/BID is to further improve the economic conditions of Downtown Aberdeen. The ADA/BID advises and assists existing and potential businesses with locating the necessary tools and resources to facilitate growth Downtown.

Organization
The Board of Directors is made up of volunteers with a broad range of interests and backgrounds. Board members are appointed by the mayor and are directly connected to the core area. The board members are property owners, residents, business operators, and users of space within the business area to be improved.
