Northern State University Homecoming Week and Gypsy Day Parade are the highlight of the year in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The week includes a variety of Wolves games and other events and culminates in the annual Gypsy Day Parade—the largest parade in South Dakota. Join in on celebrating NSU's 125th year and paint main street maroon and gold for the parade. Businesses along the parade route (and in downtown aberdeen) have the ability to get their windows professionally painted with NSU logos, colors and themes. To register, you must be along the parade route from 8th Ave NW to 12th Ave SE, or are located in the Business Improvement District. Window painting will begin the week of August 31st, and removal will happen the week of October 12th by Aberdeen Artfuls. Each window will be $50 to get painted. If you would like more than one window painted, just put in the quantity of windows to be painted and your price will be adjusted. -
Your ticket includes a souvenir sampling mini beer mug, sample tasting at ten participating locations, and discounts and treats at various stores. Ticket is good for 1 participant to enter into Brew Walk scheduled for October 8, 2026 from 5pm-8pm. By purchasing this ticket, your name and email address will be recorded onto the official guest list. Registration will begin at 5pm. If you are purchasing a group of tickets, all guests will need to meet at registration together to verify age and receive entry into the event. -
Help paint Main Street maroon and gold for NSU's gypsy day parade! Northern State University is celebrating its 125th year and we want to make this a parade to remember. Your sponsorship will help pay for professional window painting on business windows all along main street from 8th Ave NW down to 12th Ave SE. -
At a patron level of sponsorship for Aberdeen Downtown Association events, you will have the option to choose to place your logo at any of these great events: Smore's Table at Campfire Session: Your logo will be placed on bags of smore ingredients, as well as signage at the fire pit stations. Custom message is available for bags, and/or special offers you would like to include with the bag. Snack Sponsor for Wine Walk: A logo display sign will be placed on the pour station table along with the business stop logo. Have business cards or a coupon? Feel free to give them to us for people to grab while participating in the wine walk (+200 attendees). Snack Sponsor for Brew Walk: A logo display sign will be placed at the beer station along with the business stop logo. Have business cards or a coupon? We will place them at the table for participants to grab while making their brew walk stops (+175 attendees). -All Sponsorship levels are listed on the Aberdeen Downtown Association website, on printed event signage, social media posts, and other applicable marketing. $750+ sponsors will be included in radio ads & interviews.
