Hub City Downtown is an investment firm contributing to the revitalization of downtown Aberdeen. With a mission to create additional housing, retail spaces, and offices in the city's heart, the company is currently undertaking multiple development projects. Among these projects is the newly renovated Alonzo Ward Hotel & Plaza. Originally constructed in 1927, this historic building has been transformed into a modern hotel that retains its classic charm. In addition to the hotel, the Alonzo Ward Plaza is home to several businesses, including Roma Ristorante Italiano, The Finery on Main, and Dakota Music Academy. Two other downtown projects, the Van Slyke and Artz Camera buildings, are also in the works and will feature updated retail spaces, business office condos, and lofts.
